Possible Causes
Seized convection fan motor, Open winding in fan motor, Obstruction preventing fan rotation, Faulty fan relay or triac on main control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect power and allow the oven to cool.
Steps:
- Remove the rear panel to access the convection fan motor.
- Try to rotate the fan blade by hand (with power off). It should spin freely. If stiff or jammed, remove any obstruction; if still stiff, replace the fan motor.
- Check the motor connectors for secure fit and signs of overheating.
- Measure the motor winding resistance according to Bomann specifications. An open circuit indicates a failed motor.
- If the motor and wiring are OK, the main control board output to the fan may be faulty and require professional repair or replacement.
