Possible Causes

Failed door lock motor, Jammed lock mechanism, Faulty lock position switch, Broken wiring between lock assembly and main control board

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Ensure the oven is cool and disconnected from mains.

Check the lock system:

  • Attempt to start a normal baking program. If the door will not lock only in pyrolytic mode, the issue is likely with the door lock assembly.
  • Remove the top cover of the oven (after pulling it slightly out of the cabinet) to access the lock motor and linkage.
  • Inspect the lock arm and linkage for mechanical obstruction or bent parts. Lubricate lightly with high-temperature-safe lubricant if stiff.
  • Test the lock motor by applying power according to the wiring diagram (only if you are experienced and safe to do so). If it does not move, replace the door lock motor assembly.
  • Check the lock position switch with a multimeter for proper open/closed change when the lock moves.
  • If mechanical parts and switches are fine, the main control board may not be driving the lock correctly.
