Possible Causes
Failed tangential cooling fan, Blocked ventilation openings, Faulty overheat thermostat on chassis, Cooling fan wiring fault
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Switch off power and let the oven cool completely.
Check cooling system:
- Inspect the front and rear ventilation slots of the built-in cabinet. Ensure there is adequate airflow and no blockage.
- Pull the oven out and remove the top cover to access the tangential cooling fan (blows air across the control panel and outer cavity).
- Check if the fan runs when the oven is turned on and heating (you may need to briefly power the oven with covers in place for safety). If it does not run, test the fan motor for continuity and replace if open.
- Locate the overheat thermostat (thermal cut-out) on the top or rear of the oven cavity. Test for continuity at room temperature. If open and not resettable, replace it.
- Ensure wiring from the thermostat and fan to the main control board is intact.
