Bosch oven overheats, burning food even at low temperature settings

Safety first: Disconnect power immediately if the oven overheats uncontrollably. Risk of fire.

• Test sensor: With power off, measure the NTC sensor resistance. A very low resistance suggests a shorted sensor; replace it.
• Inspect control board: Look for a relay that remains engaged (contacts welded closed). Replace the main control board if a relay is stuck.
• Check wiring: Verify that elements are wired according to the Bosch wiring diagram and that no element is connected directly to line without control.
• Verify safety devices: Ensure thermal cut-outs and high-limit thermostats are intact and correctly wired.
