Possible Causes
Loose harness between user interface and main PCB, Faulty user interface board, Faulty main control board (EPC/ECM), Oxidized connectors on control harness
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Isolate power at the breaker before removing any panels.
- Hard reset: Turn off power for 10–15 minutes, then restore. Check if the error clears.
- Access controls: Remove the oven from the cabinet enough to access the top. Remove the top cover and front trim to expose the user interface (UI) board and main control board.
- Check harness: Locate the multi-pin harness between the UI and main board. Disconnect and inspect for bent pins, discoloration, or burning. Clean lightly with electrical contact cleaner and reconnect firmly.
- Inspect boards: Look for burnt spots, bulging capacitors, or cracked solder joints on both boards. Any visible damage usually means the board must be replaced.
- Test: Restore power and test all functions. If E012 persists, replace the UI board first; if still present, replace the main control board.
