Possible Causes
Burnt out convection fan motor, Jammed fan blade due to grease or debris, Faulty fan relay on control board, Broken wiring to fan motor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect the oven from mains before removing the rear panel or fan cover.
- Check fan blade: Remove the fan cover inside the oven cavity. Try to spin the convection fan by hand. If it is stiff or blocked by debris, clean thoroughly and ensure it rotates freely.
- Test fan motor: Access the rear of the oven and locate the convection fan motor. Disconnect the connectors and measure winding resistance. An open circuit indicates a failed motor. Replace the motor if open or if it hums but does not turn when powered.
- Inspect wiring: Check the harness from the motor to the control board for heat damage or loose connectors. Repair or replace as needed.
- Check control relay: If the motor and wiring are good, the fan relay on the main PCB may not be energizing. Listen for a click when fan mode is selected. If absent and voltage is not supplied to the motor, replace the control board.
