Brandt
Clock / Timer Configuration Lockout
Clock cannot be set, oven will not start any cooking program

Possible Causes
Uninitialized electronic clock, Faulty timer keypad, Software glitch in control board, Damaged encoder or buttons
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: No internal work is required for basic checks; if you open the unit, disconnect power first.
- Initialize clock: Many Brandt ovens require the time to be set before any function will operate. After power loss, the display may flash. Follow the user manual to set the time (usually by pressing the clock symbol and using +/− keys or the knob).
- Check child lock: Some models have a key lock that disables controls. Look for a key symbol on the display. Hold the designated button combination (often the Stop/Start or clock key for several seconds) to unlock.
- Power reset: Disconnect power for 5 minutes, then reconnect and attempt to set the clock again. This can clear minor software errors.
- UI repair: If specific timer buttons do not respond, the keypad or encoder may be faulty. Replace the user interface board or complete control panel assembly.
