Possible Causes
Cracked glass touch panel, Moisture behind control glass, Faulty touch sensor PCB, Loose grounding of front panel
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power before removing the front glass or control panel.
- Dry and clean surface: Wipe the glass with a dry, soft cloth. Ensure no moisture or cleaning product residue is present. Allow the oven to dry fully if steam has entered the panel area.
- Check mounting and ground: Ensure the front glass and metal frame are securely mounted. Loose mounting can affect capacitive sensing. Verify that the control panel ground wire is firmly connected.
- Inspect for cracks: Look closely for hairline cracks in the glass near the touch areas. If cracked, replace the complete glass touch panel assembly.
- Replace touch PCB: If the glass is intact but keys still misbehave, the touch sensor PCB is likely faulty. Replace the user interface/touch board specific to your Brandt model.
