Possible Causes
Misaligned door latch, Faulty door switch or reed sensor, Bent door hinges, Broken wiring to door sensor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before adjusting hinges or accessing internal switches.
- Check door closure: Close the door and check alignment with the front panel. If the door sags or does not press firmly against the seal, adjust or replace the hinges.
- Inspect latch and strike: Ensure the latch hook engages fully with the strike plate. Clean any grease or debris that may prevent full closure.
- Test door switch: Locate the door switch (usually behind the front frame). Press it manually and listen for a click. Test continuity with a multimeter. Replace the switch if it does not change state reliably.
- Check wiring: Inspect the harness from the switch to the control board for breaks or loose connectors. Repair as needed.
