Possible Causes
Failed cooling fan motor, Blocked front or rear vents, Incorrect built‑in installation (insufficient clearance), Dislodged internal air guides
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power and allow the oven to cool before removing it from the cabinet.
- Check installation clearances: Compare the cabinet cut‑out and ventilation openings with the Brandt installation guide. Ensure there is adequate space for airflow above and behind the oven.
- Inspect vents: Clean dust and grease from the front and rear ventilation slots. Do not block vents with trim or sealant.
- Test cooling fan: During operation, you should hear the cooling fan running and feel warm air exiting the front or top vent. If not, access the fan from the top and test/replace the cooling fan motor.
- Check air guides: Some models use metal or foil air channels. Ensure these are correctly positioned and not crushed or missing.
