Possible Causes
Stuck or shorted door switch, Welded lamp relay on control board, Shorted lamp control triac, Misaligned door not actuating switch
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before accessing the door switch or control board.
- Test door switch: Locate the door switch and manually press it. If the light does not go off, test the switch with a multimeter. Replace if it remains closed in both positions.
- Check door alignment: Ensure the door fully depresses the switch when closed. Adjust hinges or latch if necessary.
- Control board inspection: If the switch is good, the lamp relay or triac on the PCB may be stuck on. Replace the main control board if the lamp output remains live when it should be off.
