How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power at the breaker before removing the oven from the cabinet or opening any panels.
- Confirm mode and temperature: Ensure a valid cooking mode and temperature are selected and that the door is fully closed.
- Check safety thermostat / thermal fuse: Access the top or rear of the oven and locate the thermal cut‑out. Test for continuity. Replace if open and non‑resettable. If it has a reset button, press it once and test operation.
- Test main element: Measure resistance of the lower and upper elements. Replace any that are open circuit.
- Inspect selector switch (mechanical models): Check for burnt contacts or loose connections on the function selector. Replace the switch if contacts are damaged.
