Possible Causes
Element shorted to chassis, Damaged wiring insulation, Faulty mains filter, Moisture inside components
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Do not continue resetting a tripping RCD. Isolate the oven and do not use until inspected.
- Visual inspection: Remove rear and top panels and look for burnt wires, melted connectors, or signs of arcing.
- Isolate elements: Disconnect one heating element at a time and test operation (by a qualified person) to identify which circuit causes tripping.
- Replace faulty element or wiring: Any element with visible damage or low insulation resistance to earth should be replaced. Damaged wiring must be renewed with heat-resistant cable.
- Allow drying time: If moisture is suspected (after cleaning or flooding), allow 24–48 hours of drying before retesting.
