Safety Warning
This repair may involve working with high voltage components or water connections. Always unplug the appliance before removing any panels.
If you are not confident in your ability to perform this repair safely, we strongly recommend contacting a professional technician.

Possible Causes
Failed oven thermostat stuck closed, Faulty temperature sensor (NTC probe) reading too low, Shorted wiring between sensor and control board, Faulty electronic control board (PCB) temperature circuit
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Isolate the oven from the mains supply before removing any covers. High temperatures and live parts can be dangerous.
- Check cavity temperature behaviour: With a separate oven thermometer (if available), compare the set temperature to actual temperature. If the oven overshoots significantly, suspect thermostat or sensor issues.
- Inspect the temperature sensor: Locate the sensor probe inside the oven (usually at the rear upper area). From the rear or top panel, access its wiring. Disconnect and measure resistance at room temperature. If the reading is far outside the expected range or fluctuates when gently moved, replace the sensor.
- Check thermostat (mechanical models): For Bush ovens with a capillary thermostat, inspect the capillary tube for kinks or breaks. If damaged or if the thermostat contacts are welded closed (no click when turning from low to high), replace the thermostat.
- Inspect wiring harness: Look for pinched, melted, or shorted wires between the sensor/thermostat and the control PCB. Repair or replace damaged wiring with high-temperature-rated cable.
- Control board check: If sensor and wiring test correctly but E02 persists, the temperature regulation circuit on the PCB may be faulty. Visual inspection may reveal burnt components, but board-level repair should be left to a qualified technician; replacement of the PCB is often required.
