Possible Causes
Failed timer/clock PCB, Stuck or damaged timer buttons, Loose ribbon cable between timer and main PCB, Power surge damage to timer circuit
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect the oven from mains before removing the control panel.
- Reset the timer: Try a full power reset by switching off at the breaker for 5 minutes, then back on. Attempt to set the time and start a manual cooking mode. If E06 returns, proceed with hardware checks.
- Inspect control fascia and buttons: Remove the front control panel. Check that timer buttons are not jammed or contaminated with grease. Clean carefully with a dry cloth; avoid liquid cleaners on electronics.
- Check connections: Ensure the ribbon cable or plug between the timer module and main control board is fully seated and not damaged. Reseat connectors.
- Examine the timer PCB: Look for burnt components, corrosion, or cracked solder joints. If visible damage is present, the timer module should be replaced.
- Replacement: Order the correct Bush timer/clock module by model number. Transfer any mounting brackets and refit. After replacement, set the time and test oven operation.
