Possible Causes
Blocked cooling vents, Failed cooling fan thermostat, Failed cooling fan motor, Overheating control PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power and allow the oven to cool completely before inspection.
- Check installation and ventilation: Ensure the oven is installed with correct clearances as per Bush instructions. Blocked vents above or behind the oven can cause E08.
- Clean vents and filters: Remove any dust, grease, or debris from the top and rear ventilation slots. Do not use water near electrical parts.
- Inspect cooling fan operation: With the oven re-energised, start a low-temperature program and observe whether the cooling fan starts after a few minutes. If it does not run, isolate power and test the fan motor and its thermostat for continuity.
- Replace faulty components: If the cooling fan motor is open circuit or seized, replace it. If the fan thermostat does not close when warm (test with a heat gun carefully), replace the thermostat.
- Control board check: If the fan and thermostat are good but E08 persists, the control PCB may be overheating or misreading temperature. Inspect for signs of heat damage; replacement may be necessary.
