Possible Causes

Blown oven lamp, Faulty lamp holder, Loose neutral or live connection to lamp, Faulty light switch or relay on PCB

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Switch off power before changing the lamp or accessing the lamp cover.

  • Replace the bulb: Remove the glass lamp cover inside the oven (usually twists off). Replace the bulb with a high-temperature oven lamp of the correct wattage and fitting (commonly E14 for Bush ovens).
  • Inspect the lamp holder: If the new bulb does not work, check the lamp holder contacts for corrosion or burning. Replace the holder if damaged.
  • Check wiring: From the rear of the oven, inspect the lamp wiring for loose connections or heat damage. Repair as needed.
  • Control relay: If the lamp and wiring are good but E13 remains, the light relay on the control PCB may be faulty. PCB repair or replacement may be required.
