Possible Causes
Misaligned door latch, Failed door switch in latch assembly, Bent door hinges or frame
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety First: Turn off power if you will adjust hinges or access internal parts.
- Verify closure: Open and firmly close the door. Ensure nothing is blocking the door gasket or latch area.
- Inspect hinges: Check that both hinges are fully seated in the frame and that hinge arms are not bent. Tighten loose screws.
- Check latch: Look at the latch strike on the door and the latch mechanism in the frame. Adjust if visibly misaligned.
- Test switch: If the oven still shows DOOR, the door switch inside the door lock/latch assembly may be faulty. Access the latch from the top or front and test the switch with a multimeter. Replace the door lock/latch assembly if the switch does not close when the door is latched.
