How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety First: Disconnect power at the breaker before accessing internal controls.
- Power reset: Turn off power for 5 minutes, then restore. If F20 returns, proceed.
- Access control area: Remove the upper trim or control panel screws to access the user interface board and main control board.
- Check harness connections: Locate the multi-pin harness connecting the UI to the main board. Unplug and firmly re-seat both ends. Inspect for bent pins, corrosion, or heat damage.
- Inspect boards: Look for burnt components, cracked solder joints, or signs of moisture on both boards.
- Replace faulty board: If connections are good and no visible damage is found, replace the user interface board first. If F20 persists, replace the main control (EOC) board.
