How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety First: Disconnect power at the breaker before servicing.
- Locate lower sensor: Find the lower oven sensor on the rear wall of the lower cavity. Remove mounting screws and gently pull the sensor forward.
- Measure resistance: With the sensor disconnected, check resistance at room temperature (~1080 Ω). Replace if open, shorted, or significantly off spec.
- Check wiring: Inspect the harness from the lower sensor to the control board for damage or loose connectors. Repair as needed.
- Replace sensor: Install a new lower oven temperature sensor (RTD) if faulty. Persistent F201 with a good sensor may indicate a bad control board.
