How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety First: Turn off power at the breaker. Allow the oven to cool completely before accessing internal components.
- Test convection mode: Start a convection bake cycle and listen for the convection fan. If it does not run or is noisy, suspect the fan assembly.
- Access convection fan: Remove oven racks and the rear interior panel to expose the convection fan motor. On some Café models, access is from the rear exterior panel.
- Check fan movement: Spin the fan blade by hand. It should rotate freely without scraping the shroud.
- Inspect wiring: Verify the fan harness is firmly connected at both the motor and the control board. Look for heat damage or broken wires.
- Replace fan motor: If the fan is seized, noisy, or does not receive proper voltage when commanded on, replace the convection fan motor assembly.
