Possible Causes
Shorted meat probe jack, Damaged or wet probe receptacle, Faulty wiring from probe jack to control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety First: Disconnect power at the breaker before accessing internal wiring.
- Check for probe: Ensure the temperature probe is not plugged into the jack. Remove it if present.
- Inspect jack: Look inside the probe receptacle for moisture, food debris, or bent contacts. Clean gently with a dry cotton swab.
- Dry moisture: If the jack was exposed to liquid, allow it to dry thoroughly with the door open. Do not use the oven until fully dry.
- Access jack wiring: Remove the side or rear panel to reach the meat probe jack assembly. Inspect wiring and connector to the control board.
- Replace jack: If the jack is shorted or damaged, replace the meat probe jack assembly. If the error persists, the detection circuit on the control board may be faulty.
