Possible Causes
Tripped house breaker, Loose or burned power cord/terminal block, Open thermal fuse or high-limit thermostat
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety First: Before removing panels, switch off the breaker. Verify power is off with a non-contact tester if available.
- Check breaker: Inspect the double-pole breaker feeding the Café oven. Reset if tripped. If it trips again immediately, stop and have wiring inspected.
- Inspect power connection: Pull the oven out enough to access the rear. Check the power cord or hardwired connection and the terminal block for burns or loose screws.
- Test thermal fuse: Many Café wall ovens have a thermal fuse or high-limit thermostat behind the control panel or rear cover. Test for continuity and replace if open.
- Control power: If line power is present and fuses are good but the display is dead, the main control (EOC) or user interface board may have failed and require replacement.
