Possible Causes
Burned-out oven light bulb, Failed light socket, Faulty light relay on control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety First: Turn off power or at least switch the breaker off before changing bulbs to avoid shock.
- Replace bulb: Remove the glass light cover inside the oven (usually twists off). Replace the bulb with the correct high-temperature appliance bulb specified for Café ovens.
- Inspect socket: If a new bulb does not work, inspect the light socket for corrosion or heat damage. Replace if contacts are burnt or loose.
- Check door switch: Some models use a door switch to control the light. Test the switch for continuity when the door is opened.
- Control relay: If the socket and switch are good but the light never comes on (even from the control panel), the light relay on the main control (EOC) may be defective.
