Oven will not broil; bake works but broil element never glows red.

Safety First: Shut off power at the breaker and allow the oven to cool.

• Inspect broil element: Look at the broil element at the top of the oven cavity for breaks, blisters, or sagging.
• Test continuity: Access the rear of the oven, disconnect broil element wires, and measure resistance. Replace the element if it is open.
• Check wiring: Ensure terminals are tight and wires are not burnt or broken. Repair with high-temp wire as needed.
• Control check: If the element and wiring are good but no power is delivered in broil mode, the broil relay on the main control (EOC) may have failed and the board will need replacement.
