Possible Causes
Open bake heating element, Burned wire at bake element terminal, Failed bake relay on main control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety First: Turn off power at the breaker and verify the oven is cold before touching elements.
- Visual inspection: Remove oven racks and inspect the bake element at the bottom of the cavity. Look for blisters, cracks, or burn-through spots.
- Continuity test: Remove the rear panel, disconnect the bake element wires, and test the element with a multimeter. It should show continuity (typically 15–40 Ω). Replace if open.
- Check terminals: Inspect element terminals and wires for burns or loose connections. Repair or replace damaged wiring with high-temperature oven wire.
- Control relay: If the element and wiring are good but no voltage is supplied during bake, the bake relay on the main control (EOC) may be defective and require board replacement.
