Caple oven knobs are stiff, hard to turn, or do not align with the selected function/temperature.

Safety first: Ensure the oven is off and cool before removing knobs.

• Remove and clean knobs: Pull the knobs straight off the shafts. Clean the knobs and fascia with a degreaser.
• Inspect shafts: Check the selector and thermostat shafts for bending or damage. If the shaft is loose or wobbly, the underlying switch may need replacement.
• Replace cracked knobs: Fit new Caple-compatible knobs if the inner hub is split or worn.
• Realign: When refitting, align the knob indicator with the correct off position as per the manual.
