Caple oven will not start any cooking function; display works but pressing start does nothing.

• Set timer to manual: On many Caple ovens, the timer must be set to manual or a cooking duration. Ensure the symbol for manual operation is displayed.
• Disable child lock: Use the key combination in the manual to unlock the controls.
• Test start button: If the button feels stuck or does not click, remove the control panel (with power off) and inspect the switch. Replace the button or PCB if faulty.
• Check timer relay: On models with a separate timer module, ensure the relay contacts close when a program is started. Replace the timer if the relay fails.
