• Test the fan motor: Disconnect the fan’s connector and measure resistance across the motor terminals. An open circuit indicates a failed motor. If you have safe test equipment and experience, you can briefly power the fan with an appropriate mains test lead to confirm operation (only if you are competent and understand mains safety).
• Check wiring and thermal cut-outs: Trace the wiring from the PCB to the fan. Some Caple ovens include a thermal cut-out in series; test it for continuity. Replace if open.
• Inspect PCB relay: Look for signs of burning or cracked solder joints on the cooling fan relay. Reflow solder or replace the PCB if damage is evident (professional repair recommended).
• Reassemble and test: After replacing the fan or cut-out, reassemble the top cover, refit the oven, restore power, and test a heating cycle to confirm the cooling fan starts automatically.
