Caple oven display powers on but internal light and all heating functions are dead; sometimes accompanied by a faint click.

Safety first: Turn off power at the consumer unit and verify with a voltage tester before touching internal wiring.

• Check terminal block: Remove the rear cover to access the mains terminal block. Ensure all screws are tight and there are no signs of overheating or melting.
• Inspect mains filter: If your Caple oven uses a separate mains filter/EMI board, check for burn marks, bulging components, or cracked solder joints. Replace the filter board if damaged.
• Internal fuse: Some models have a small glass or ceramic fuse on the control PCB. Remove the control panel, locate the fuse, and test for continuity. Replace only with the exact same rating.
• Relay inspection: On the main PCB, inspect the main power relay for heat damage or cracked solder joints. If the relay is visibly burnt or does not click when the oven is turned on, the PCB may need repair or replacement.
• Do not bypass safety components: Never bypass fuses or relays; this is dangerous and can cause fire or electric shock.
