Possible Causes
Failed display PCB, Faulty low-voltage power supply on main PCB, Loose ribbon cable between UI and main board, Blown low-voltage fuse or regulator
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off power at the breaker and verify no voltage is present before removing the control panel.
- Access control panel: Remove the oven from the cabinet if required. Unscrew the front control panel to expose the display PCB and wiring.
- Check ribbon cable: Ensure the flat ribbon cable between the display board and main PCB is fully seated and not damaged. Reseat both ends.
- Inspect for damage: Look for burnt components, bulging capacitors, or cracked solder joints on the display PCB. Any visible damage usually means the board must be replaced.
- Measure low-voltage output: If you are competent with electronics, power the oven and carefully measure the low-voltage supply (often 5V or 12V DC) feeding the display. If missing, the main PCB power supply section may be faulty.
- Replace faulty board: Fit a new Caple-compatible display/UI board or main PCB as identified. Transfer any mounting brackets or spacers from the old board.
