Possible Causes

Stuck door lock mechanism, Failed lock motor not returning to open position, Faulty lock position sensor, Control PCB not sending unlock signal

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect the oven from mains. The door may still be hot after a pyrolytic cycle; wait until fully cool.

  • Allow extra cooling time: Some models keep the door locked until the cavity temperature is very low. Wait at least 30–60 minutes after the cycle ends.
  • Manual release (if provided): Check the user manual for a manual door release access point (often behind the control panel or through a small hole). Use the recommended tool to release the lock.
  • Access lock from top: Remove the oven from the cabinet and take off the top cover. Manually move the lock lever to the open position while gently pulling the door.
  • Inspect and replace: If the lock is stiff or damaged, replace the entire lock assembly. Also check the wiring and microswitches feeding back to the PCB.
  • Test after repair: Run a short cleaning cycle or lock test to confirm the door locks and unlocks correctly.
