Possible Causes
Child lock function enabled, Stuck touch key, Moisture on touch panel, Faulty touch control PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: No internal work should be done with power on. For control resets, follow the user manual.
- Disable child lock: Refer to the Caple manual for the specific model. Typically, press and hold a lock symbol or a combination of keys for several seconds to unlock.
- Dry the panel: Wipe the glass touch panel with a dry, lint-free cloth to remove moisture or grease that may cause false touches.
- Power reset: Turn off power at the breaker for 5–10 minutes, then restore. Test the keys again.
- Inspect touch PCB: If keys remain unresponsive or permanently triggered, remove the control panel (with power off) and inspect the touch PCB and ribbon cables. Replace the touch PCB if damaged or if individual keys fail consistently.
