Possible Causes
Convection fan tachometer sensor failure, blocked fan causing low speed, wiring fault from fan sensor to control board, failed fan driver circuit
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power and allow the oven to cool.
- Access convection fan: Remove the rear interior panel to expose the fan. On models with speed monitoring, the motor may have an extra sensor wire or built-in tachometer.
- Clean and inspect: Remove any debris from the fan blades. Check that the fan spins freely.
- Check wiring: Trace the fan and sensor wires to the control board. Ensure all connectors are secure and not heat-damaged.
- Replace fan assembly: If the tachometer sensor is integrated into the motor and is faulty, replace the entire convection fan motor assembly with the correct Clatronic part.
- Control board: If the fan and wiring are good but F4 persists, the fan driver or tach input on the control board may be defective and the board should be replaced.
