Possible Causes
Failed bottom heating element, failed top/grill element, open thermal cut-out, faulty function selector switch contacts
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect mains power before removing panels or testing components.
- Check modes: Try different cooking modes (top heat, bottom heat, grill, convection). If none produce heat, suspect a common power path (safety thermostat, selector switch, or control board).
- Test elements: Access the rear of the oven and measure resistance of each heating element. Replace any element that reads open circuit.
- Check safety thermostat: Locate the safety thermostat on top or rear of the cavity and test for continuity. Reset or replace if open.
- Inspect selector switch: Check for burnt contacts or loose terminals on the function selector. Replace if contacts are badly worn.
