Timer or clock display works, but oven will not start heating until timer is set.

Safety first: No internal work is needed initially.

• Set timer correctly: On mechanical-timer Clatronic ovens, turn the timer knob to the manual or continuous-on symbol. On electronic models, ensure the timer is not set to delay start and that the manual mode is selected.
• Test heating: After setting the timer to manual, select a cooking mode and temperature. If the oven now heats, the behavior is normal.
• Timer contacts: If the oven only works when the timer is in certain positions, the timer switch contacts may be worn and require replacement.
