Possible Causes

Drifted oven temperature sensor, Loose sensor connection at control, Faulty control board temperature circuit

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety First: Disconnect power before testing the sensor.

  • Test sensor resistance: Remove the sensor from inside the oven and measure resistance at room temperature (around 1000–1100 Ω). If significantly off, replace the sensor.
  • Check connector: Ensure the sensor plug at the control board is tight and free of corrosion. Clean and reseat if needed.
  • Calibrate (if available): Some Danby models allow temperature calibration in the settings menu. If the sensor is good, adjust calibration by ±10–20 °C as needed.
  • Replace control board: If E2 persists with a new sensor and good wiring, the control board may be misreading the sensor and should be replaced.
