Possible Causes
Open oven temperature sensor (RTD) probe, Broken sensor wiring harness, Loose sensor connector at control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety First: Disconnect power at the breaker before testing or replacing components.
- Locate sensor: Inside the oven cavity, find the temperature sensor probe on the rear wall. Remove its mounting screws and gently pull it forward.
- Test sensor: Disconnect the sensor connector and measure resistance with a multimeter. At room temperature, it should be approximately 1000–1100 Ω. If the reading is infinite (open) or far out of range, replace the sensor.
- Inspect harness: If the sensor tests good, trace the harness from the sensor to the electronic oven control. Look for cuts, burns, or loose plugs. Reseat connectors firmly.
- Check at control board: Access the control board from the rear or top of the unit. With power OFF, unplug the sensor connector at the board and measure resistance across the harness back to the sensor. If open, repair or replace the harness.
- Replace control board: If both sensor and harness are good but F3 persists, the sensor input circuit on the control board may be defective and the board should be replaced.
