Possible Causes
Burned-out oven light bulb, Faulty light socket, Defective light switch or relay on control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety First: Turn off power or unplug the oven before changing the bulb to avoid shock.
- Replace bulb: Remove the glass light cover inside the oven (usually twists off). Replace the bulb with the correct high-temperature oven bulb type and wattage specified by Danby.
- Inspect socket: If a new bulb does not work, inspect the socket for corrosion or burning. Replace the socket if damaged.
- Door switch: Check that the door switch operates the light when pressed. Replace the switch if it fails continuity testing.
- Control relay: If the light is controlled by the electronic board and all other components are good, the light relay on the board may have failed and the board will need replacement.
