Possible Causes
Weak or partially open bake element, One leg of power missing (120 V only), Faulty temperature sensor feedback
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety First: Disconnect power before testing elements.
- Check power supply: Ensure the oven is receiving full 240 V. If only 120 V is present, elements will heat very slowly.
- Inspect elements: Look for cold spots or uneven glow on elements during preheat (view through door window). Replace any element that does not heat uniformly.
- Test resistance: Remove and test bake and broil elements with a multimeter. Replace if resistance is significantly higher than specification or intermittent.
- Sensor check: A faulty sensor can cause the control to think the oven is hotter than it is. Test and replace if needed.
