Possible Causes
Broken NTC sensor, disconnected sensor plug, cut or burnt sensor wiring, failed sensor input on main control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Isolate the oven from the mains supply before any disassembly.
- Access the sensor: Locate the sensor probe inside the cavity (rear wall). Remove the mounting screw(s) and gently pull the sensor into the cavity to access the connector, or access from the rear panel depending on model.
- Check connections: Ensure the sensor connector is firmly plugged into the harness. Look for corrosion or loose pins.
- Test continuity: Disconnect the sensor and measure resistance across its terminals. An open circuit (infinite resistance) indicates a failed sensor that must be replaced.
- Inspect wiring harness: Trace the harness from the sensor to the main PCB. Repair or replace any damaged wires or connectors.
- Control board input: If a known-good sensor and wiring are present but the error persists, the sensor input circuit on the main control board may be defective. This typically requires board replacement by a technician.
