Possible Causes
Loose ribbon cable between display board and main control board, oxidized connectors, failed user interface PCB, failed main control PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect the oven from mains before opening the control panel.
- Access control area: Remove the front control panel or top cover (depending on model) to access the display board and main control board.
- Check ribbon cables: Carefully disconnect and reconnect the flat ribbon cables between the boards. Ensure they are fully seated and not damaged.
- Inspect connectors: Look for corrosion, bent pins, or heat damage. Clean lightly with contact cleaner if needed.
- Visual inspection of PCBs: Check both boards for burnt components or cracked solder joints, especially around connectors.
- Board replacement: If reseating cables does not clear the error, one of the boards is likely defective. Replacement of the user interface or main control board is usually required and may be best handled by a technician.
