Possible Causes

Blown oven lamp, faulty lamp holder, damaged lamp wiring, failed lamp relay or triac on control board

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Switch off power at the breaker before changing the lamp or accessing wiring.

  • Replace lamp: Remove the glass lamp cover inside the cavity (usually unscrews). Replace the bulb with the correct high-temperature oven lamp type specified by De Dietrich (typically 25–40 W, E14).
  • Inspect lamp holder: Check for heat damage or corrosion on the lamp holder contacts. If burnt or loose, replace the lamp holder.
  • Check wiring: From the rear, inspect the lamp wiring harness for damage. Repair or replace as needed.
  • Control board: If the lamp and holder are good but the lamp never receives power when commanded, the lamp relay/triac on the main PCB may be faulty, requiring board repair or replacement.
