Possible Causes
Open circuit in grill heating element, burnt wiring to grill, failed grill relay on main control board, overheated safety thermostat open
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect mains power and allow the oven to cool before accessing the rear or top panels.
- Visual inspection: Inspect the grill element inside the cavity for cracks, blisters, or breaks. If visibly damaged, replace it.
- Test resistance: From the rear, disconnect the grill element terminals and measure resistance. An open circuit indicates a failed element.
- Check wiring and thermostat: Inspect the wiring from the grill element to the control board and any inline safety thermostat. Replace any burnt connectors or open thermostats.
- Control relay: If the element and wiring are good but no voltage is supplied in grill mode, the grill relay on the main PCB may be defective and the board may need replacement.
