Oven interior light stays on all the time, even when door is closed and oven is off

Safety first: Disconnect power before accessing the switch or lamp wiring.

• Locate switch: Find the door switch near the door frame (often behind a small hole or cover).
• Check operation: Press the switch plunger manually. The light should turn on and off. If it feels stuck or does not change the light, the switch may be faulty.
• Inspect door alignment: Ensure the door properly contacts the switch when closed. Adjust hinges or strike if needed.
• Replace switch: Remove the mounting screws, disconnect the wires, and install a new De Dietrich-compatible door switch.
