Oven beeps and displays F1, controls unresponsive or random beeping even when not in use

Safety first: Disconnect power at the breaker before removing any panels. High voltage is present even when the oven is off.

• Power reset: Turn the oven off at the breaker for 5–10 minutes, then restore power. If F1 returns immediately, the fault is likely in the keypad or control board.
• Check for stuck keys: With power off, gently press each button on the control panel several times to free any stuck key. Wipe the panel with a slightly damp cloth and dry thoroughly.
• Inspect ribbon cable: Remove the control panel (usually a few screws from the front or top). Check the flat ribbon cable from the keypad to the EOC. Reseat it firmly and ensure there is no corrosion or burning on the contacts.
• Isolate keypad vs board: On many Electrolux ovens, you can disconnect the keypad ribbon from the EOC, restore power, and see if F1 reappears. If F1 appears with the keypad disconnected, the EOC is bad. If it does not, the keypad/touch panel is bad.
• Replace faulty part: If the keypad membrane is integrated with the front panel, replace the entire control panel assembly. If separate, replace only the failed component (keypad or EOC) using the exact Electrolux part number from the model tag.
