Possible Causes

Stuck or shorted keypad button, Damaged touch membrane, Loose keypad ribbon cable, Failed EOC keypad interface

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn off power at the breaker before removing the control panel.

  • Check for stuck keys: With power off, press each button firmly several times to free any stuck key. Clean the surface with a mild cleaner and dry completely.
  • Inspect ribbon cable: Remove the control panel and locate the flat ribbon cable from the keypad to the EOC. Disconnect and inspect for cracks, corrosion, or bent contacts. Reseat firmly.
  • Isolate keypad vs board: If possible, power the oven with the keypad disconnected. If F7 still appears, the EOC is likely faulty. If the code disappears, the keypad/touch panel is defective.
  • Replace faulty component: Replace the touchpad or entire control panel assembly if the membrane is bad. Replace the EOC if the keypad tests good but the code persists.
  • Reassemble and test: Restore power and verify all buttons respond correctly and the F7 code is cleared.
