Possible Causes
Inaccurate temperature sensor, Slow or sticking relays on EOC, Poor airflow due to blocked vents or fan issues, Overloaded oven with large pans blocking circulation
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before testing components.
- Verify with thermometer: Use an oven thermometer to monitor temperature swings over 20–30 minutes.
- Test sensor: Replace the oven temperature sensor if resistance is out of spec or readings are unstable.
- Check convection fan: Ensure the convection fan runs properly and vents are not blocked by foil or pans.
- Control board: If hardware is good but temperature swings remain extreme, the EOC may be cycling elements improperly. Replace the EOC.
- Use proper rack positions: Avoid blocking airflow with oversized pans or covering racks with foil.
