Possible Causes

Tripped house breaker or blown internal thermal fuse, Open bake and/or broil element, Loose or burnt wire at terminal block, Failed EOC relay output

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn off power at the breaker before removing panels. Verify power with a meter if you are qualified.

  • Check power supply: Confirm the range/oven breaker is fully on and not partially tripped. Reset if needed. Verify correct voltage at the outlet or junction box.
  • Inspect terminal block: Remove the rear cover and inspect the terminal block where the power cord connects. Tighten loose screws and replace any burnt terminals or wires.
  • Test elements: Disconnect and measure resistance of the bake and broil elements. Replace any that are open or visibly cracked/blistered.
  • Check thermal fuse/high-limit: Locate any thermal fuse or high-limit thermostat on the rear or top of the oven cavity. Test for continuity and replace if open.
  • Control board: If power, elements, and fuses are good, the EOC may not be sending power to the elements. Replace the EOC.
