Possible Causes
Aged LED/VFD display, failing display driver on UI board, loose ribbon cable, heat damage to control panel
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Isolate the oven from mains power before removing the control panel.
- Check connections: Remove the control fascia and reseat any ribbon cables between the display and main board.
- Inspect for heat damage: Look for discoloration or warping of the display PCB. Ensure the cooling fan and vents near the control area are working properly.
- Replace display/UI board: If segments are permanently missing or the display is very dim, replace the Essentials user interface / display board as a complete unit.
- Test after replacement: Restore power, set the clock, and verify that all segments are bright and stable.
